Mr. Wu Xusheng, president/executive director and secretary of the Party Committee and editor in chief of China Publishing & Media Journal; and Ms. Zhang Yan, general manager and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Journal, brought their delegation to GTCOM on November 13, 2020. Huang Song, executive director and secretary of the Party Committee of China Translation Corporation (CTC); and Eric Yu, CTC's general manager and GTCOM vice chairman, attended.

Mr. Yu introduced a variety of notable GTCOM achievements, including the exploration of machine translation, smart editing, copyright management, technological innovation and valuation, and smart cultural tourism.

Additionally, Mr. Yu stated that in the area of machine translation, GTCOM has developed software and hardware products for document translation, webpage translation and audio/video translation as well as LanguageBox (Smart Language Box). In the area of smart editing, GTCOM launched applications of smart editing and knowledge service which supported smart publication and topic selections, one-stop editing service, publication data analysis from multiple aspects, and precise mining of marketing channels. In terms of copyright management, GTCOM made use of its source tracing capability based on block chains and big data to produce an AI omnimedia copyright management solution that would enable copyright owners to secure their legitimate rights and interests. In the area of technological innovation, based on a large-scale IP database, GTCOM designed a tool for global technological value analysis and technology retrieval, and tapped into the industrial level of patent technologies, comprehensive scoring of enterprise technologies, valuable scientific research, and leading experts.

Subsequent to a detailed introduction, Mr. Wu expressed his recognition of GTCOM's application of big-data technology. He also expressed hope that the technological advantages of GTCOM would combine with the industrial resources of China Publishing & Media Journal so that the two sides could jointly explore in-depth strategic cooperation in technological and cultural innovation, publication and media studies, and smart cultural tourism.

Additionally, GTCOM Big Data Business Group's joint general managers Zhou Zhipeng and Li Xue gave a detailed presentation on the company's multilingual machine-translation system based on the neural network, the comprehensive smart-tourism service platform covering tourism destinations in the domestic markets, and the digital city brain platform, which actualizes smart pandemic prevention and lean management strategies. The meeting finished with a session in which the two sides discussed the issues of concern to them.
