Beijing Foreign Studies University Int'l Business School and GTCOM Sign Strategic Agreement---A cooperative effort will explore fintech and international studies

Mr. Niu Huayong, dean of the International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University, visited Global Tone Communication Technology Co., Ltd. (GTCOM) on November 25, 2020. Ms. Elena Zhang, vice president of GTCOM, attended the meeting. The two sides discussed financial indices, alternative data and international studies in preparation for the implementation of strategic cooperation agreement. In attendance were Song Zening, associate dean of the International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University; Li Ziying, associate dean of the Academy of Regional and Global Governance of Beijing Foreign Studies University; and Allen Yan, general manager of GTCOM-US and director of the International Department of GTCOM.

GTCOM signed a strategic agreement with the International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University

Ms. Zhang provided an introduction to GTCOM's business layout in language technology, fintech and other areas as well as its core technologies and industrial applications in the areas of big data and AI. She said the company attached great importance to cooperation with colleges and research institutes, having endeavored to secure industry-university-research cooperation with more than 200 global colleges based on the Language Big Data Alliance platform as a means to achieve joint development and mutual benefit.


Thus, Ms. Zhang said, the International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University was an excellent example of integration between financial research and language resources, having distinctive advantages in international financial studies. GTCOM has in recent years combined cross-language big data with application in the financial industry, developing solutions for alternative data analysis, financial quantization and regulatory solutions. Thus, the partnership between the two sides will be conducive to the application of industry-university-research advantages, training of fintech talent, and the research of fintech frontier technologies as well as the achievement transformation.


Mr. Niu spoke highly of GTCOM's achievements in big data and AI. He mentioned that the cooperation between the International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University and GTCOM would help the university integrate its traditional language advantages with the financial research resources and thereby enhance teaching and scientific research for the transformation of research achievements.

Ms. Zhang and Mr. Niu signed a strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of the respective parties and expressed confidence that the two sides would promote cooperation and implementation of news communication, index construction, financial risk analysis and international studies based on big data and AI.

Additionally, Mr. Yan shared GTCOM's solutions for alternative data and financial quantization in macroeconomic analysis, thematic investment analysis and the analysis of specific stocks and brands. He also introduced the company's cases of financial research cooperation with Bloomberg, S&P Global, Jefferies Financial Group and BCG. Moreover, technical experts from GTCOM shared the company's research achievements in big-data governance, data visualization and knowledge-graph building, in which the two sides had an intensive discussion.
