From November 5 to 10, 2023, the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held at the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center with the theme of "Shared Future in the New Era". GTCOM, as the language technology service provider, supported the event in an all-round manner. This is the sixth consecutive year that GTCOM has served the CIIE.
This year’sCIIE was held fully offline and received wide attention from around the world. A total of 69 countries and 3 international organizations had their dedicated booths on site, covering all five continents. There were developed, developing, and least developed countries. Among them, 64 countries are Belt and Road partner countries, and 34 countries participated offline for the first time. Compared with previous editions of the event, this year’s CIIE featured a wider circle of friends, greater willingness to open up and cooperate, significantly improved quality and efficiency of corporate exhibitions, and a clearer focus on opening up at the Hongqiao Forum.
As a leading company in language technology services, GTCOM sent a language service team of nearly 70 people to undertake this important mission for China’s opening up. The team provided services for sessions such as the Hope Project ESG charity seminar, China-Europe Entrepreneurs Conference, Science and Technology DePauw Innovation and Technology Summit, and Face-to Face with Presidents at the press center, as well as off-site interviews and at various booths. The high-quality language technology services covered English, Korean, Japanese, German, Russian, French, Spanish and other languages. With a high sense of responsibility and professional technological capabilities, GTCOM’s language service team showcased Chinese wisdom and Chinese speed, winning high trust and appreciation from the organizers as it helped ensure the success of this significant event.
