On July 29, Global Tone Communication Technology Co., Ltd. (GTCOM) held a strategic product launch event in Beijing to showcase its AI aesthetics powered by big data and launch a number of new applications and technological achievements based on its YeeSight big data ecosystem.
Over the past five years, GTCOM moved from machine translation to cross-language big data, from data map to data EKG and hype cycle curve. Its CEO Eric Yu presented at the event the big data ecosystem that GTCOM had built for the collection, governance, analysis, and presentation of big data. Yu also showed the financial big data platform JoveBird which was aimed at overseas markets. With 100 data models and algorithms, as well as a unique cross-language text analysis algorithm, the platform conducts smart analysis on financial data, and presents the results in data EKG which is then shared with listed companies, financial institutions, and investors to help them make decisions.
Over the past years, GTCOM has invested more in the R&D of machine translation and big data and achieved a lot. During the event, GTCOM's CTO Cheng Guogen displayed platforms for collection, governance, analysis, data, and management, as well as data map, all of which are parts of the YeeSight big data platform; and announced a number of achievements made through technological research under the 2020 cognition intelligence research program, including neural machine translation, multilingual natural language interpretation, and semantic search. According to Cheng, the future of big data lies surely in openness and sharing and this is why GTCOM packs up its huge and complicated technological systems and open them up to the entire industry in a highly integrated form.
Liang Haoyu, GTCOM's director for big data, announced three big data applications that were based on this ecosystem, namely, Insider DI, Insider BUZZ and Insider LITE. They provide differentiated services for users in different industries. According to Liang, GTCOM will launch more new applications in the future, to further build up the product matrix of the YeeSight big data ecosystem, providing big data services to users in more sectors.
GTCOM also announced at the event that it would start strategic cooperation with China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), The Cover, and the Institute of Acoustics, CAS. In his speech, He Baohong, Deputy Director of the Technology and Standards Research Institute of CAICT, said that in the future, the two sides would join hands to build a high-end professional think tank for the country so as to provide targeted big data services for multiple sectors and industries. Zhou Qi, Executive Editor-in-Chief of The Cover also acknowledged that the two sides would share data to create brand new news products and contribute to the development of smart media in the world. Deputy Director Liu Jian also made remarks on behalf of the Institute of Acoustics, CAS, as a partner, saying that GTCOM provides strong support in terms of speech recognition and cross-language big data resources. By joining hands with giants such as CAICT, The Cover, the Institute of Acoustics, Alibaba, and Haier, GTCOM’s big data and AI services will reach out into more vertical sectors.
